The Ground Hotel in Ennis.
This is where we spent our first night in Ireland.

O'Dea's Castle near Corofin

The Burren

The heart of one of Irelands most fierce landscapes.  Most of the vegetation disappears and limestone peers out at you.  The Burren covers about 300km.

Ailwee Cave

A 2-million-year-old cave that contained both an underground river and waterfall.

Dunguarie Castle

Our first stop was the Dunguarie Castle near Kinvara.  Built in the 16th century is was once owned by Oliver St. John Gagarty.  He was the model for James Mulligan, a character in Ulysses.  Dunguarie is now used for a literary themed medieval banquet that honors writers.
